Tri-onics Incorporated is a family owned
business, which was incorporated in the
State of Illinois, January 1969.
Tri-onics initially was engaged in the
design, development, sale and servicing
of digital electronic assemblies.
Principal proprietary products included
Digital Readout Systems and Computer
Numerical Control (CNC) for the Machine
Tool Industry.
Tri-onics currently owns 30,000 square
foot of modern factory and office
favorably situated on eleven (11) acres
in an Industrial Park located in
Highland, IL.
Highland, Illinois is a rural farm
community located 32 miles east of St.
Louis, Missouri, an area known for a
work force having the highest standards
of work ethics.
During its 1st 10 years the company
experienced rapid growth, experiencing
an average annual compound growth rate
of fifty per cent (50%) per year. During
this time it went from two (2) employees
in 1969, to sixty (60) employees in
1979.
During the period from 1980 to 1985,
Tri-onics was totally dependent on the
Machine Tool Industry and the sale of
its products. The industry and those
serving it experienced a decline in
sales level to twenty-eight per cent
(28%) in 1979.
During 1985, Tri-onics made the decision
to become a major factor in the Contract
Electronic Assembly Market. This
decision was made to achieve
diversification from the machine tool
industry and to become less dependent on
company engineered products.
With this commitment to the Contract
Electronic Assembly Market came the
obligation to purchase automated
assembly equipment as necessary to
become a factor in this market. The
commitment was made without any
immediate prospect for customers to
utilize this equipment.
During 1988, Tri-onics again made a
major commitment, this time to the
purchase of automated assembly equipment
for Surface Mount Technology, again
without any commitment from customers
for use of the equipment. Through the
years, the company has continued to add
leading edge production equipment to its
facility.
During the 90’s Tri-onics made the
transition completely away from its
Proprietary Product and became an
Electronic Manufacturing Service
Industry (EMSI) Provider. Its complete
focus has shifted to supporting its
customer’s needs by becoming an
extension of their operations.
In 2000, the company made the commitment
to reinvest a specified percentage of
sales in state of the art production
equipment and assembly processes.
Tri-onics has continued its dedication
to providing its customers leading-edge
technology solutions.
In 2004, Tri-onics became a global
manufacturer by opening a Wholly Foreign
Owned Enterprise in Mainland China. This
China facility can perform the same
primary manufacturing functions as its
US facility. Tri-onics can now provide
customers a total solution for their
entire product mix. The solutions range
from prototypes to high volume low cost
manufacturing, with local support.
Tri-onics is interested in "partnering"
with companies having low to high volume
requirements, and insist on high quality
product and "on-time" deliveries. To
this partnership Tri-onics brings its
experience and knowledge of both leading
edge technology and the essential
factors of successful manufacturing. Its
facility reflects that knowledge.
Tri-onics becomes an extension of its
customer’s manufacturing and design
department, problem solvers ready to
help customers improve their bottom
line.
While plant size and equipment are
important to prospective customers,
there should be an issue of far greater
interest. MORAL INTEGRITY.
Tri-onics "CORE VALUES" set us apart
from other companies, "Old Fashion"
values that translate into TRUST.
What Tri-onics stands for as a company,
is considered to be its primary
strength.
